CMC Course
This course provide the training of a steady flow of crowds, preventing excessively dense crowds. creating a manageable public traffic flow, minimizing risks, limiting the number of first aid occurrences, incident reports, and violent offences. It is particularly required that all personnel should undergo a relevant training before being assigned to shipboard duties. Prior to being assigned shipboard duties on board passenger ships, all seafarers shall have completed the training required by STCW Reg. V/2 and Section A-V/2 in accordance with their capacity, duties and responsibilities. The amendments introduced the requirement for passenger training and familiarization to other personnel providing direct service to passengers on board passenger ships.
Objective
The objective is to provide trainees with guidance and information to gain knowledge, understanding and proficiency (KUP) required to achieve the objectives of the learning outcomes to demonstrate their competence in Passenger ship crowd management in accordance with paragraph 3 of section A-V/2 and table A-V/2-1 of the STCW Code.
The trainee should be able to demonstrate the ability to:
contribute to the implementation of shipboard emergency plans and procedures to muster and evacuate passengers; and assist passengers en route to muster and embarkation stations.
Learning Outcome
There are three main outcomes to the course.
The course learner is aware of shipboard life saving appliance and control plans.
He/She is able to assist passengers en route to muster and embarkation stations.
He/She is able to carry out mustering procedures.
